Desert Trek: enjoy the journey to the Sahara Desert and sleep under the stars.

Cross the stunning Tichka Pass and enjoy trekking with camels. Sleep in Berber tents in the middle of the Sahara Desert.

This trekking adventure will take you through some beautiful parts of Morocco. The Dades Valley is also known as ‘The Valley of Roses’ and you’ll see why when you get there. There are well-preserved kasbahs everywhere and the mountains are simply spectacular.
When you trek out into the Sahara, the Berbers will cook you wonderful local dishes and introduce you to their culture and to their lifestyle. You will be amazed at the Moroccan Sahara: Berber kasbahs, remote sand dunes, camels and beautiful gorges.

Day 1 : Marrakech / Zagora / Sahara Desert

First we’ll drive across the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass of the High Atlas mountains. We will pass through many Berber villages, and once in the desert, we’ll see riverside oases and barren hillsides clustered with kasbahs. After lunch we’ll drive farther to Zagora, with beautiful views of the Draa Valley, the Valley of the Roses.

We will arrive there around 4 and after a short break we will ride camels into the dunes. We will spend the night in Berber tents and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine. After sunset, we will have a delicious Berber dinner before bed.

Day 2 : Zagora / Marrakech

After witnessing a most beautiful sunrise (which you wll have to get up early for) and after having enjoyed breakfast at the camp site, we will ride the camels back to the auberge.

From there we will make the drive back to Marrakech, again via the Tichka Pass.

We will arrive in Marrakech early in the afternoon.
