Next we drive to the popular city of Marrakech with the Atlas Mountains in the background and explore itsbusysouqs and famous Djema el Fna Square, as well as severalotherhistoric sites. There is free time in Marrakech to explore the souqs and gardensfurther, or take a day trip up to see the waterfalls and views in the imlil Valley in the Altasfoothills.

DAY 1:   Arrive into Casablanca. Transfer to hotel

On yourarrival in Casablanca airport (CMN) ourrepresentativewillgreetyou and transferyou to yourhotel in the centre of the city.

DAY 2:   Casablanca, Meknes and Volubilisfes

We start todaywith a tour of Casablanca, Morocco'seconomic capital. We'llvisit the central market, the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Habous disctrict, Mohamed V Square, the Anfa residential area and the exterior of the impressive Hassan II Mosque on the seafront. Afterleaving Casablanca we drive to the Berber town of Meknes. Formerly the capital of Morocco during the reign of Moulay Ismail, hetransformed the town, constructingintricategateways, beautifulgardens and at 40km the longestramparts in the country. We'llsee the Bab Mansour Gate, the Royal Stables and the Jewish quarter. Our next stop isthen for a panoramicview of the holy city of Moulay Idriss on ourway to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. Recentlylisted as a UNESCO world heritage site and dating back as far as AD40, Volubilis is home to some of the most impressive Roman ruins in North Africa. We finish the day by driving on to the mediaeval city of Fes.

DAY 3:   Fes, city tour

Over 1200 yearsold, the city of Fez is a labyrinth of souks, mosques and spicefilledstreets. Wedelveinto the fascinatinghistory of the city with a full tour encompassing the outside of the Moulay Idrssmausoleum and KarouineMosque, the Royal Palace, Nejjarinefountain and the Attarine or Bou AnaniaMedersaine, .After lunch we'llspend time confusingoursenses in the cacophony of noise surrounding the headyalleyways of Fes'smedievalmedina, home to tanneries, dyepits, leather and carpet shops, alleysdedicated to all kinds of differentcrafts, tinymosques and local restaurants.

DAY 4:   Rabat tour, drive to Marrakech

We'llleaveFesbehind us with reluctance today and drive to the Imperial City of Rabat, Morocco's administrative capital, on the Atlantic coast. Our tour herewillinclude the Royal Palace (Mechouar), the Mohamed V Mausoleum and Hassan Tower Mosque, as well as the Oudayas Garden and Kasbah. After an optionalseafood lunch (full board package) we'll continue on the highway to Marrakech.

DAY 5:   Marrakech, full day city tour

We'llspend the wholedaytodayexploring the exotic city of Marrakech, Morocco's second oldest Imperial City, alsoknown as the 'ochre city'. Our tour willinclude the iconicKoutoubiaMosque, home to the minaret which has become a symbol of the city, the Menara Garden, SaadianTombs, Dar Si Said Museum and the Bahia Palace. After lunch at the hotelwe'llhead back out and explore the busy souks and handicraftquartersbefore the tour finishes at the famous Djemaa El Fna square. It'swellwortheating out near the square or returninglater in the evening as itreallycomes to life at night whenitispackedwithstreetfoodstalls, musicians and entertainers - one of Morocco's highlights.

DAY 6 :   Transfer to Casablanca, or Marrakech airport
