Trekking in Morocco: Family trek through the villages of the Amizmiz Plain.
Enjoy 7 days of family trekking in the High Atlas Mountains and see the Berber villages while you take in the stunning panoramas of the Haouz Plain
Day1: Marrakech
You will arive at the airport and be transferred to your hotel or riad of choice in the wonderful Moroccan city of Marrakech.
Day 2: Marrakech / Ait Zitoun
We will transfer from Marrakech to the village of Ait Zitoun (900m ASL)where we will meet our mule team and guide. From here we set off on our trekking tour, with a gentle walk of about 3 hours to our first night’s accommodation in a Berber house.
Day 3: Tizgui / Amizmiz / Ait Ahmed
Today our tour will take us on a gradual ascent towards the village of Tizgui (2200m ASL) where we will enjoy magnificent views across the Amizmiz area. After our picnic lunch we continue our trek down to Ait Ahmed (1200m ASL) a typical Berber village of mud houses where we will spend the night. There will be a total of about 5 hours walking.
Day 4: Imezmiz River Valley
After breakfast, we will walk along the Imezmiz River Valley through small villages and arrive mid-afternoon in the larger village of Imi n’Talat. In Imi n’Talat, we will can spend the night in a traditional Berber household where we will enjoy freshly made Moroccan bread and a typical, delicious Moroccan meal.
Day 5: Berber Villages
After a walk of around 4 hours, our trekking tour will take us through typical Berber villages and bring us to our vehicle for the transfer back to the city of Marrakech.
Day 6: Free day in Marrakech
You will have a free day in Marrakech to do as you please. This will be a wonderful opportunity to visit one of Morocco’s famous Imperial Cities.
Day 7: Transfer to airport
